Insurance advice

Postby SandraVogel on Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:41 am

I've had three bikes separately listed on my home and contents insurance (two mine, one my partner's) successfully for a few years. However I've had two bikes stolen in the last two years, and my insurance renewal has just declined to put the bikes on the policy - and given me just three weeks notice of the fact!

So, I am looking for suggestions of insurers that offer a good deal.

I want to get new for old insurance.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Sandra

I've no personal experience of this company but in the past they have been recommended by LCC and CTC:

Normally your home insurance is the best option for bikes. Why not shop around and get a better deal from a different company? I have a cracking deal on my home insurance but obviously deals come and go.

Thanks Mark

I've now got new home and contents insurance which provides good cover and doesn't need anything to be itemised unless it is worth more than £4000. So my bikes are now fine.
